All classes: Today was Unit 4 Day 4. We took a practice pop quiz to see how much we remember from before break and to help prep us for tomorrow’s Unit 4 Quiz. We discussed how cellular respiration is related to breathing, what cellular respirations three phases are, and electron carriers. Period 2 and 5: Today was Unit 4 Day 1. We began our discussion of cellular respiration by learning about the cellular respiration/photosynthesis cycle, potential and kinetic energy, and redox reactions. For Monday, please read 7.1 and 7.2 in your book and take notes.
Everyone: If you are redoing your lab notebooks, those are due Monday. Lab 8 formal report is due Tuesday.

Period 5: Today we went over Lab 8 Osmosis. It will be due on Tuesday.

Period 2 and 8: Today we discuss and analyzed all three Biology class’s data for Lab 8 Osmosis. Based on this we made a graph and plotted the line of best fit. We then discussed the format for the formal report and walked to the library to begin work on it. This report will be due Tuesday, before Thanksgiving Break. If you are redoing your lab notebook entries for more points, the notebook is due Monday.

5th Period: Today was Unit 3 Day 8. We did Lab 8 Osmosis and discussed the last section of notes for this unit on active transport and exo/endocytosis.
Everyone: Unit 3 HW 2 and lab notebooks (Lab 4-7) due Friday. Test Tuesday. Lab 5 rewrites due Friday for Period 2 and Monday for Period 5 and 8.
